AZZ Cardfile : Simple Software for Home and Office

Aus post codes download

Compiled by Paul Hysen:

Aus post codes for 16784 locations.

Update September 2008, thanks again Paul: all the Australian postcodes current at 14 September 2008. Included in the Zip file, please find a text file that explains the database card file naming convention employed.

The postcodes were originally scanned by means of OCR from a list of Postcodes provided by Australia Post, changed to a comma delimited file by means of a macro and then converted to a dBase 5 format database. It was ported over to AzzCardfile by myself.

I have used databases for many years for easy access to data I use at home and for work. Most database programs have serious limitations, being restricted to data only. AzzCardfile not only allows you to keep straight data, but also allows you to place images in the database, which means that you can keep all those pictures from your holiday in Australia and the pictures sent to you by your Australian friends, with their relevant postcodes in AzzCardfile.

Or, more practically, whether you are in, or outside Australia, you can now quickly find those elusive Australian Postcode in your AzzCardfile database.

Enjoy,
Paul.

Additional resource: Some of the Australian postcodes can be searched for on official Australia Post site www1.auspost.com.au/postcodes
