My () has just been diagnosed with Type II diabetes. I wanted to be
able to organize everything we are learning and wanted to create a database
of recipes that will help keep us on track.
I remembered how much I liked the AZZ program from some time ago when I had
downloaded it to check it out, but had gotten away from it.
This program is perfect for our needs or for anyone who has been diagnosed
with diabetes. Type II diabetes is being becoming more and more prevelant,
I feel, due to our lifestyles and eating habits. I also have the
understanding that the guidelines for Type II have been lowered and so more people are
being diagnosed than in years past. I know we have been guilty of eating way too
much fast food and overeating. I fear I am not far behind so I will be following this healthy eating plan also.
In my Diabetes Planning AZZ file, I have created a Welcome card that
explains the file, an Information card with websites and tips that have been helpful
to us, a Recipe card with diabetic recipe websites people can search and then
create their own cards for foods they like. Last, but by no means least, is
my database of great recipes showing nutritional values and diabetic
exchanges. I've named each recipe card with labels coming first (such as
breakfast, meal, vegetable, fruit, meat, etc.) so they will be alphabetized
according to the label and easier to find.

I've also named my AZZ file with a date, so that I can send you updates when
I have them and others will be able to tell if they need an update.
I so appreciate you making this program so easy to use. I love being able
to add pictures, color, etc. now. I don't think that was available when I saw
it before.
